My cousin (my dad and her dad are siblings), Debra Ng held her wedding reception at Ocean Seafood Reaturant on November 29. This was my first time going to that Restaurant since it was renovated and boy, I didn’t imagined it to be this big. It look a lot smaller from outside. It started around 7pm with 500 guest slowly filling up all the tables. I heart events like this as it helps to gather families together. It helps to know more people and see more faces where some are actually close relatives of ours.. Debra and her husband were welcoming all the guests at the door; shaking hands, receving gifts and angpows, giving hugs and cheek kisses to the guests. I was standing at one corner near the entrance to usher the guests to their seats. My mind started to wander.. I was saying to myself ‘preparing for your wedding reception  – with all the guests list, the invitations, the venue, the programs, the food etc.. is no easy job.

Everything went fine and reception ended at around 10.30pm. I was looking at my watch..and i thought to myself “still early bah this.. ” , maybe I should go out tonight! So I texted Corn and she agreed to parteyy! We went to Rumba _ Le Meridien as the performing band is quite good. It’s hip and kickin’. The fact that band members are somehow very attractive + the right group of crowd *winkwink* has made Rumba my current obsession.

One word: Marvelicious! The end. I kid I kid. Haha.

I texted Cornelia around 8.30pm asking her out for a drink. I was estatic when she said “Ok bah. Jam brapa?”. Immediately after my Cousin’s wedding reception came to an end, I actually walked so fast that it seems like I was running to my car. Fetched Corn around 11pm at her house when I promised her I would reach there by 10.30pm. So not punctual.

Rumba here we come!

Honestly, I’m super-impress with the band, Switch Groove (and honestly, I only knew the band’s name when I was reading Corn’ s post). I keep referring them as “band hensem2″. Possibly they should consider to change their band’s name to We are the Handsomes. I kid. Hehehe. Switch Groove sounds more like a scientific name for a coconut tree (maybe I’m just plain weird) but coconut pun coconut lah. I was amazed. The word is Awestruck. Damn it. They are now becoming our latest addictions. I wonder whether it’s a good thing or not? *winkwink*

We opted for Long Island (a safe bet) and skipped the ever-popular drink in Rumba; Mojito, which we had on Friday night. The mint leaves were refreshing but too much of those leaves swimming inside your glass is not attractive at all. Corn was lik sipping leaves down her throat. She was busy pulling the plants out of her glass and ended up filling the entire ashtray. Pity her though.

They were having this Prom Night – the place was bit crowded and we managed to find only one seat at the bar so Corn & I took turns to sit but we were 80% dancing and standing while listening to the band’s performance. I managed to ’steal’ a stool from the table beside us for my brother. I was loving the fact that the majority of the crowd are fresh young adults. Musics were blasting off the speakers, alternately changing from live performance and DJ’s records in an interval of 20-30 minutes per performance . Guess Corn & mua was enjoying the music, dancing to our crazy beats while laughing hsyterically. I somehow feel we look kinda funny but I rather be funny than trying to do an imitation of the Pussycat Dolls. Few girls joined in the fun and I supposed it made the dancing a whole lotta fun. Then… we got invited. Invited for what? Invited by the female vocalist to dance with her in front of the crowd.. Phew. I wonder whether it was our wall-breaking laughing volume that made her noticed us? We are officially loud. Woohoo. Dang and dang and dang!

Last but not least, “Alcohol doesn’t solve problems, but to think back..neither does milk”. Weee.

The End (am not kidding).
