Shuttering has become an addiction + obsession. From film to digitals and back to films!- but this time with that super-added style. Saw these cameras in Times Square a few years back and couldn’t find them in KK yet. Is there any shops selling them here in KK peeps? Uwh.. I really want to get one Lomo – either from the Diana or Holga model ~ am still not sure the type of film they use *I’m lacking in research*.

I Was looking for fish eye lense for my DSLR but dang, they’re quite pricey. Let me know if anyone of you sells Nikon’s Fish Eye Lens at a you-can’t-beat-it price *winkwink*.

Since the lens cost quite a fortune for a small-income earner like me, I better get one of this Lomo Cameras for that fish eye / dreamy effect for now.

The Complain – Machine. Demmit.

I just cannot stop complaining..and no.. this is not considered to be one of my expertise, and no.. I’m not having my PMS.  Suprisingly, I find myself to be complaining about anything and everything these few weeks. This is just so fuckin’ weird coz I’m surely not a complainer (I’m very very sure). I find sighing more amusing than complaining, but November is just not a good month for me (you see! I even blame it on November! *slap in the head*). Mum was the one who asked whether I was feeling allright when I was mumbling and grumbling about every little thing that comes my way. She must be very annoyed I guess. While on our way back after fetching my mum from her office, I complained excessively on why the car in front of me is moving so damn slow??? (Verdict: I was in the left lane, so who’s fault is it? Yes thank you. It was my fault). Come to think of it, I felt like a total idiot. I can clearly switch to the right lane but I insisted with using left. Damnit.

I’ll just shut up then. SHUT THE FU. Urghhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Hate it when my skin becomes very dry and I look super restless. I’m fuckin’dehydrated! Lack of sleep, low water intake, excessive inhalation of those addictive sticks and consumption of those killer drinks, tiring worklife & the full addiction to the Internet!… I only have one person to blame. ME!!

Easy Solution: Get enough sleep, drink more water & stop those addictions.. EASY correct..no. Urghhhhh! I’m getting supplements, buying creams & drink lots and lots of water A.S.A.P! . What about the addictions? It’s like chocolate you see, you know too much of it is bad for you, but you just can’t get enough of them! Urghhhhhhh! Again.

I’m in the state of ultimate boredom. Just finished flipping through “Majalah Jajal Sabah – Gergitan Edisi Darjah 1“..ok ok.. if you’re wondering what the heck was I reading, it is actually the first edition of Sabah’s very own comic strips produced by Persatuan Kartunis Kinabalu (PAKATUN) ~ Dad bought it from somewhere/someone. LOL.

Hey! Sabah is really EXPANDING you see. From Comics to BBKK Tees (borneoutara.com ~ gonna get my hands on those Ts very soon) , and not to mention all the local singers we have (for the Dusuns ~ who would not ever heard of Francis Landong, George Lian, Evaristus Gungkit …and all the new local singers available), one particular local band that’s really coming forward is Papier Mache – (they’re bringing a mix of English, Malay & Dusun songs). They’re young lads from a small town called Tamparuli. Featured in Daily Express, Sabah Times & even Suria FM. I’ve been reading comics lately – printed ones and via online. So decided to ‘cartoonized’ a very plain photo. Used Photoshop but peeps, I am so so not [PRO].

Not able to update my posts for the past 4 days, not due to my excessive work at the office or have I been too tired to update,  but due to the fact that my laptop was not functioning ~ I panicked when the screen turned all black and I couldn’t even access in safe mode. I was devastated at that particular moment ~ I was suddenly having this headache ~ if my HDD is completely corrupted…all my assignments, paperworks, photos etc gone?? I called a friend to help, I also texted Jay, our IT guy so they can help me to figure out what the darnit problem is. Next morning, packed everything; charger, drivers etc and gave it to Jay and prayed hard he could fix it… and he did!! I was estatic! My laptop had a lot of Malware which causes a lot of Bad sectors to my C drive (still have no idea what that is).  But he gave me a long lecture and good pointers of how I should at least take proper care of my laptop from now onwards. Yes Sirr!:

1. Don’t let the battery charger run when you are not using it. (my battery memang hangkang sudah.. I need to plug in the battery charger to switch on my laptop).

2. I have a small RAM – merely 512MB but I have few software installed which are way too heavy for this. His suggestion was to add the RAM if I need to continue using all these software installed. (I blamed it on my brother as he installed most of them)

3. Please do regular updates for your Anti Virus. This is no small issue. Since you log in to the Internet every single day, there are many ways that a Virus can acess your contents and caused major damages.

4. Important files? Back up everything. Burn them into a CD. Make copies if possible so even if your computer crashes, at least you won’t sulk for the rest of your life.

5. Last thing, back up your files. (he mentioned this twice, thats why the repetition. LOL).

Britney’s back!

Her hair has grown back and no more the need for those awful wigs.. but I am not really hating the pink wig she wore. She improved on appearance and in the process of toning up her body ~ she looks hot! (I’m writing as if if she’s my next door neighbor.LOL). Her latest single would be Womanizer. Am loving it! Andy going vegan for good?

My brother announced during dinner that he is going Vegan starting 14November 2008 ; which marks his 26th birthday. He has been on a Vegetarian diet for the past three years..so what more? Vegetarians and Vegans is the same, correct? My exact response to his decision was: “Sama saja bah..tidak makan daging bah”. Owh I was wrong, then I got this 2 minutes lecture from my brother – By definition; he is now a vegetarian – not eating any meat products but still consume dairy products like eggs and milk. Vegans on the other hand do not eat any animal products at all! Egg comes from a chicken, so they are off the list. Milk are from cows so strike them off his food list too. Krazi I tell him.. Ok not that krazi. He tried convincing me to be a Vegetarian once he entered his second year of complete meat-abstinence. So I was a bit influenced.

I got my Peta Veg Starter Kit last year and enjoyed reading the colorful brochures the PETA people send from US. I was actually interested to get the Starter Kit as I  wanted the stickers (yeah. I’m pathetic)..but too bad, they’re not included in my starter kit. I once got all these cute stickers when andy was invited to go to KL for a xstraightedgex gig – Way back in 2006. Then I stop eating meat for like two days but sorry peeps, I couldnt resist the lamb/chicken chops. I happen to enjoy a big portion of meat every now and then, and cheese,milk are my favourites. I am happy to have a full stomach, but perhaps not healthy. But everytime I go to these links where they show cruelty towards animals, my heart sunk in despair. Ok then, I’ll try to go vegetarian but maybe not Vegan.

So basically this was the conversation we had:

Andy: Nanti by 14th , saya mau become Vegan sudah ni.

Mua: Hah? Sama jah bah.. tidak makan daging bah kan. ko kan skarang bukan makan daging pun?

Andy: (Giving that explanation on Vegetarians & Vegans).

Dad: Jadi apa lah ko makan?? (A bit shocked..)

Andy: Makan sayur lahh…

Dad: Aish.. lain juga tu.. (Dad talking while enjoying his chicken wings and chicken soup)

Andy: Daddy tu bah patut jadi vegetarian..Healthy eating! Ini makan daging jahh!

Mua & Mom: (Laughing)

Mua: Ish saya mcm tidak boleh oh tidak makan meat!

Andy: Buduh ko ni. Boleh bah tu!

Mom: Bah ko jgn langsung tidak makan, nanti tinggal tulang sy tidak tanggung oh.

Dad: Tolong pegi tambah nasi dady (giving his plate to my brother)

I took four days off to spend some time with Izrul “the boyfriend”. Fetched him at Terminal 1at around 10am. I was late. His plane touched the ground at about 9.30am …I just came out of the showers. Sorry hun.

Stayed at Tune Hotel – which I think was superb ~ a combination of simplicity, practical but awfully -elegant..and very affordable. The air-cond, TV, toiletries are all available on add-on basis which I believe is very practical since travellers do not stay in their room for a long time. What they need is only a comfortable place to sleep  (the room he stayed in has an Aquos white Flat-screen TV *paid an extra rm6.90 to have the TV for 24 hours-no Astro however*, had two very, very big mirrors which gives a very good effect – spaciousness, and one part of the wall was given a very special touch – they painted gold roses ;a repetitive pattern, on a greyish background , and the best of all was the 5 star bed. check out their website at www.tunehotels.com) *I’m doing a free advertising for AA *hiccups*. Ey dear, next time I’ll do a review on Hyatt ok. LOL.

So you might guess that my boyfriend’s main attraction was to see me, correct? Come to think of it, his main concern was to go to an island ~ he’ll choose the beaches over me I guess. We went to an island trip on his second day here and he was swimming, snorkeling and diving for more than 3 hours while I took a nap. Due to the excessive exposure to the sun – he got sunburned – he complained but it followed with a big grin ~  I got sunburned while sleeping though. Didn’t managed to bring him to have a view of the kampung2 here. Should at least bring him to Tamparuli to have a look at the used-to-be-there Jambatan Tamparuli (the most and only popular song among West Msians – way before Sayang Kinabalu. Wakakakaka!)

And owh, before I forget, he was telling me over and over again since his first visit that Sabah has a lot of roundabouts and people dont even care to look left and right when crossing the road (I was defending my fellow Sabahans but we do cross the street like no one’s business *Hiccups*).

“he came, he saw & he conquered”. Izrul came but did he conquered?  well yeah..He conquered my owh-so-sensitive heart for quite some time. The relationship has been more than a rollercoaster ride ~ keeping my sane in a long-distance relationship for nearly two years is no easy task. So they say, things like this would not last. Maybe it won’t, but maybe this time it will? yes it will. On the sentimental side, part of me could not function without him – even if he keeps telling me for more than four years that I have a big tooth @ chipmunk, rabbit, u name it.

But all in all, the boyfriend loves Sabah..quoting him “Sabah’s the best state ever.. not sure how to explain the feeling but yeah, its the best state for sure.”.. and I interrupted “Memang lahh, sebab tu awek lu orang Sabah lah beb”.

5 hours before the boyfriend’s flight, we went to watch a movie – 22^nd James Bond movie “Quantum of Solace”! Weee…It’s some sort of historic moment for mua since I am no movie buff – Actually, I don’t really like to sit and watch a movie in a cinema. I prefer watching them on my notebook/DVD player at home. The first movie we watched together was Déjà vu – starred by Denzel Washington, so Quantum of Solace – 007 Daniel Craig, was the second. Both are full of actions, weapons and bombs – clearly picked by him.. you see..being such a nice adorable girlfriend as mua, I let the boyfriend pick his preference ..and I let him pay. How sweet am I? *Hiccups*. Before the movie started, I decided to buy some drinks and popcorn, told the boyfriend I only wanted the medium size .. 2 minutes later, I changed my mind after seeing “Buy 1 Large combo and get a FREE James Bond 007 Sunshade!”. Happily walked back to the boyfriend, ask for additional $$, walked back to the counter and ordered “Bagi saya satu Large Combo!“.
