“Fall for you” – Secondhand Serenade

**updates** 1st October 2008 : Sorry Inden. I forgot to mention the singer’s name. The singer is actually Secondhand Serenade. Its actually not a band, there’s only one singer (owh fuck, I forgot his name and I’m too lazy to google it right now . Teehee) . He goes by the name “Secondhand Serenade” because all the songs he wrote is for his wife, a serenade for his wife and she’s the first person who he sang all his songs to. We are only “secondhand’. Hahaha. Not bad eh. Got the info while listening to Natalie – Hitz.fm I did googled for his photo the last few days but I was a bit suprised. Well you see, I was expecting him to look like The All American Rejects as his songs sounds somewhat similar to this band, but to my surprise, he looks like someone from BBMak!. Hehehe. Anyway, I heart his songs though. Please do listen to another of his single, “Vulnerable”, came out way back before “Fall For You”.

Someone dedicated this song to me and it’s a sweet thing to do actually, even I don’t really care why the need to do so. So here you go peeps:

Do you have a Ratio of 0.7? Then you’re da’ bomb!

Switched on the TV, tuned to RTM1.. and this caught my attention – according to scientific studies, men are way attracted to girls with hip ratio of 0.7.. So how do we calculate that?  Measure your waist , measure your hip. Then waist figure divide by hip figure. You do the math. Then you will get your ratio.

Time = going 180km/ph? or 20km/ph?

I was having my usual outing with a friend in town when he suddenly looked at my watch and said “wui, betulkah jam ko tu Len?”. My watch is always 15minutes to 20 minutes faster then the actual time so some of my friends will have a ‘minor shock’ because they will either think that they’re late for something or time went by so fast. So this was when this friend said to me “you are not leaving in real time”. I was like “Huh??”. We started to argue (in a nice way of course) as he believes that people should live in ‘real time’ and not by fast forwarding their lives. According to him, what ‘eleanor’ is doing is making her life go 15 minutes ahead of her and missing what life has to offer. I was like ‘what the fart!”. You are so, so wrong.

You see.. I dont know whether others have experience a similar situation as I have – I know that my watch is 15 minutes faster for the last 2 years… but every single day,  I will still tend to forget that I have wind up my watch. The good thing is that it keeps me far more punctual than before.

Lets say, work starts at 8am, looking at my watch: 7.45am.. I should be making my way to office already (will take around 10 minutes to reach Damai). So I should be reaching Damai at 7.55am. Actual time “real time”: 7.40am. I’m not punctual, but I’m way, way early. Not aiming for “Best Employee of the Year Award” but just a simple satisfaction of good time management. *putting two fingers down my throat”..hehe.. I have a few friends where their watch is like half an hour faster. So my 15mins is basically nothing compared to these peeps. A few steps forward and blessed with the time to pause for a moment, think back and reflect. Yeehaa.

Couldn’t remember for sure what other arguments we had, but he end up paying for my drink that night. Haha. Never question my ‘15 minutes’ mate.
